Review:

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

I enjoyed this book.  It was a great way to finish the series.  I do wish there was a little more of what happens after but it still ended well for me.  I am still a little hesitant on this becoming a movie (at least the first book).  Disney optioned it but I just can’t see it translating very well.  I think it would have been a better twist had the “Pilot” turned out to be someone you already knew and never would have guessed.  There was never really any “holy crap” moments.

The pace of this book was much better and it kept my attention.  I finished it in 4 days.  Normally I finish a book every 2-3 days so it wasn’t bad.  The characters are much better developed and I cared for them more in this book.  There probably should have been a little more “meant to be” emotions between “Cassia” and “Ky”, they never came across to me as star-crossed lovers.

I did like how every chapter was a different characters POV.  It really made you feel like you got every side of the story as it went.  That was one driving factor for me.  I kept reading to get back to certain character’s chapters and what they were going through.

Overall the story of this series is original (at least to me and what I have read in the past).  The pace is somewhat slow in some places.

I would recommend this for pre-teen and teen.  There was no language I can remember and no sex.  It is an easy read.
