Passion (Fallen #3)  – Lauren Kate

Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way….

Luce is certain that something – or someone – in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime…going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel…and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history. Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames…forever.

I think this one was the best so far and must have taken so much planning to get it worked out right.  The pace was fantastic.  I was fantastic to be taken on a whirlwind tour of “Luce” and “Daniel’s” past lives, to get to see how their lives were entwined with each other over many a millennia was fascinating and extremely romantic.

I felt I could identify with “Luce” more in this book…she fought harder and asked more questions that I thought should have been asked earlier.  I kind of wanted to be her LOL.

I am definitely going to have a book hangover after this series.

It can get a little hard to follow at times just because “Luce” travels to a past life and finds herself so there is a lot of talk of the past selves by the present “Luce”.  Most of them have different versions of her name “Lucinda” (like, Lucia, Lucinda, Lucie, ect.).

I loved being able to see the past…it makes you feel like you have just a little more information than if you were just being told of it from another character.

I think this series could possibly make a great movie if it was done right.

Recommended for teens…no sex, no language
